      This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Fetherstone of Bladbean in the Parish of Elham in the County of Kent Yeoman. First I direct all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid by my executors hereinafter named as soon after my decease as it may be convenient for them to do so. I give and bequeath all my household goods furniture plate linen china farming stock and implements of husbandry goods chattels money securities for money and all my other personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever of or to which I shall be purposed? or entitled at the time of my decease unto my wife Sarah for and during the term of her natural life or so long as shall continue my widow and unmarried with full power to carry on my present business as long as she shall think proper and from and immediately after the decease or next marriage which shall first happen of my said wife I give and bequeath the same unto my eight children, viz Mary the wife of William Knott, Sarah the wife of Valentine Ellen, Thomas, Martha Elizabeth, Ann, William, John and George White to be divided between them in equal shares and proportions and to their respective executors administrators and ???? I appoint my said wife and my brother William Fetherstone of the parish of Barham in the said county yeoman executors of this my will in witness thereof I the said Thomas Fetherstone the testator have to this my last will and testament in one sheet of paper contained set my hand and seal this eleventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two the mark x and seal of Thomas Fetherstone.
