Lois Vail Featherston Marshall, 6/9/1926 to May 21, 2016
Born in Featherston, OK, to Clara Gilstrap Featherston and Willis Folsom Featherston, she graduated from Quinton High School, and attended Oklahoma A&M for 2 years. In 1946 she married Paul Marshall. They lived in Stillwater from 1958 to 2008. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. They had two children, George David and Sharon Kaye (Sherry) Marshall. Lois was employed at McCaffree’s Drug Store, a dental office and finally at Stillwater Medical Center, where she worked for 13 years until her retirement. After her mother passed on, she cared for her sister Mary until Mary’s death. In March 2008 she moved to Minnesota, to be close to her daughter Sherry.
Lois (Lochie to her friends and family) will be sorely missed. She was a loving, supportive wife, mother and mother-in-law – a strong, calm and patient influence on our lives. She loved to tease and joke, and kept that sense of humor to the end.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Willis Featherston, husband Paul Marshall, her brother Clayton Featherston, sisters Rachel Kendrick, Francye King, and Mary Featherston.
She is survived by her children George (and wife Jo) and Sherry, two grandchildren – David Michael and Paul John Marshall – and two great-grandchildren – Cameron Isael Marshall and Mya Moffat.
The funeral service will be held at Strode Funeral Home, 610 S. Duncan, Stillwater, OK at 2 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, following the ceremony.
