- Obituary 'Cynthia Jean Featherston’s journey on this earth ended Friday, September 23, 2011. Cynthia, 50, of Jacksonville, was born December 24, 1961 in San Diego, Califonia to Ronald and Phyllis Featherston. She graduated in 1979 from Dexter High School in Dexter, Missouri and later attended Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, where she received her Nursing degree. She worked at local hospitals as an RN, and home health care for 20 years in Poplar Bluff. She is entering a new journey of life with Jesus and her loved ones that preceded her. She is survived by her husband, Dewayne Hester, of Jacksonville, Arkansas; two sons, Zachary Miles and Jordan Dewayne Featherston of Jacksonville; her mother, Phyllis Jean Bridges (Jim) of Jacksonville, Arkasas; her father, Ronald Blaine Featherston (Valerie) of Linden, Texas; three sisters, Lorrie Ann Riviere of Dexter, Missouri; Angie Mitchell (Joe) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and Jenny Featherston of Texas; two brothers, Ronald Blaine Featherston (Donna) of Cabot, Arkansas and Dustin Featherston of Snyder, Texas; her beautiful granddaughter, Mackenzie Featherston of Jacksonville, AR; two grandfathers, James William Featherston (Donna) of Rose Bud, MO and Dewane Davis (Ruthie) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and her uncle, Bob Adams (Debbie) of Pendleton, Indiana. She had many nieces and nephews that loved her amazing fried chicken and desserts – Jerod and Kayle Wills; Amber, Caleb and Jesse Mitchell; and Devin, Austin, Cody, Jett and Ty Featherston. She is also survived by her in-laws, Edna Lee and Lee Author Hester of Essex, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ezra and Myrtle Spain, Eula Mae Spain Davis, and Jesse William Adams; great aunt, Vita Sutherland; aunt, Berneda Sharon Adams LeGrand; uncles, Jerry Adams and Bob LeGrand, all from the Poplar Bluff area. Services: First United Methodist Church.'
