To-day was a happy day for Clarice and George, and many friends and relations were present at the Church to see these two joined in holy matrimony.
the bride looked charming in a regal gown of silver brocaded satin, and carried a bouquet of white carnations and lilies of, the valley. She was attended by two small bridesmaids and two pages, all relations of the bride, by name June, Denise, Brian and Michael. the little girls wore peach coloured satin frocks with silver sashes and carried silver baskets of peach carnations. the boys wore period, suits of pale green satin. After the ceremony more than fifty guests adjourned to Queen's Hall.
Mr. G. C. Wood, the bride's grandfather, Proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom, and the toast was replied, to by George in a few well chosen words. Mr. Voysey, who had officiated at the ceremony then proposed the health of the bridal attendants, and this was replied to by the best man Mr. HL. Page, who said that as brevity was the order of the day he would just say thank you on their behalf. the happy pair left amid a shower of confetti and good wishes, for Cumberland. Clarice had changed into a sage green three piece suit, and was taking with her a musquash swagger coat, present from the bridegroom.
