Subject: [Kent] Featherstone in 1891 Census Edward Henry Featherstone was born 13 May 1887 at Infantry Barracks, Northgate, Canterbury. His father, Henry Edward Featherstone, was a Colour Sergeant in the East Kent Regiment. His mother was Ellen Margaret Saunders Featherstone. I was looking at the web site and there is some possibility that Edward Henry Featherstone (Ref 2a.837) is connected to my Featherstone.
Here is some of what I have.
Edward Henry Featherstone (b. 1885; m. 22 December 1909, Calcutta, IND; d. 7 July 1927, IND) file shows the birth as Jun 1887 but my date is based on secondary sources.
Marriage to Catherine Jane [Jennie] my great aunt.

Albert Cyril Kinloch Featherstone (b. 24 July 1916, IND) Cyril, as he is referred to later, is mentioned in correspondence I have from cousins in Kent and he is the main beneficiary in the will of my great uncle, James Alexander Middleton, dated 1952. James Alexander refers to Cyril as nephew in the will. (I will send a transcription to you but it is not a Featherstone will.) In addition to money, Cyril inherited a remainder interest in Fetter Cairn, Reigate

I'd be grateful for information that anyone may have concerning Edward Henry Featherstone, manager of the Motor Company, Shillong, at the time of WWI and a director of Allenbury & Co, Calcutta, at the time of his death in 1938. Also his son Albert Cyril Kinlock Featherstone, born at Shillong in July 1916. (Another son, Henry Edward Featherstone, was an RAF officer who died in the UK in 1941, and is recorded in the Commonwealth War Graves Register). Does anyone have information about Allenbury & Co.?
