M.P. of Ardagh House Co. Longford. Sir Thomas Fetherston Bart. M.P. was the 2nd Bart. and married Catherine Whitney. His father Sir Ralph Fetherston was the 1st Bart. and married Sarah Wills. His grandfather Thomas Fetherston who married Mary Sherlock was the brother of my ancestor Francis Fetherston of Whiterock Co. Longford who married Elizabeth Jessop (Thomas and Francis had two other brothers Cuthbert Fetherston of the Co. Westmeath line and the Rev. John Fetherston who went to England and did not marry. These four brothers were the grandsons of the original Cuthbert Fetherston who came to Ireland). On the marriage certificate of James Gregory and Octavia Fetherston one of the witnesses is J.H. Jessop. This is John Harwood Jessop the son of the Rev. Robert Fetherston Jessop and his wife Catherine (nee Fetherston) who was the sister of the bride.
